This should be easy to state but thankfully it doesn't end up that way.

Project Reconnect began as an initiative of the Mid-Lachlan Mission Area (geographically located in the Central West of NSW, Australia) of the Uniting Church in Australia. But where it began and where it ends up are two different things. At present we have people contributing to Project Reconnect from the Uniting Church, the Assemblies of God Church, and the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Our commitment is to an expression of the Christian life as modelled by Jesus and talked about by Paul. For us the particularities of theology and churchmanship are a means of reflecting on the diversity of the presence of God in the world. Our desire is to help people discern the visceral presence of God in their lives and be helped in giving articulation to that experience. Further that in this process they will sense the call of God to live a life of grace, justice, and humility.

To this end we do not wish to define the boundaries on who we are. We would like all those who share our vision to be a part of what we do. This might be those who want to use our goals, strategies, and resources. It might those who would like to contribute in the development of our goals, strategies, and resources.

An invitation was recently sent to all Uniting Church presbyteries in the Synod of NSW to partner with us in Project Reconnect. This page might change significantly based on the outcome of that invitation. Even now our invitation goes to all denominations of the Christian Church to participate in this exciting development.

In terms of the production team we have a team leader, 2 video editors, 1 cameraman, an administrator, about 12 preachers, a singing group of about 6 women, and a person who prepares the information sheet. From that group a few view all the DVDs that get sent out to ensure there are no failed disks.

There is also a Project Reconnect Planning Team. There are 6 people on this team. Ross Neville from Molong, Bruce Irvine from Narromine, Catriona Atkins from Eugowra, and Helen Westcott, Alistair Weller, and Tom Stuart who are all from Parkes.
